History: Apple's first scanner was released in 1988. The Apple Scanner was a 16 level grayscale flatbed scanner with a maximum resolution of 300 dpi. It was soon replaced with the Apple OneScanner which featured 256 grayscale levels. In 1991 Apple released its first color scanner. The Apple Color OneScanner had a maximum resolution of 300 dpi with 16 million colors.
